Cylinders

Brake Supply's hydraulic cylinders are second to none. Each cylinder is carefully disassembled, meticulously inspected, and rebuilt to manufacturer's specifications in our state-of the art facility. Our facilities allow us to manufacture and rebuild all type of hydraulic cylinders. To make our hydraulic cylinder repairs of consistently high quality, we use the latest in technology to augment our trained mechanics.

Procedures
All cylinders are built to OEM or customer specifications upon written request. Vertical positioning table for rebuilding front suspension cylinders. Tuxco hydraulic cylinder work stations for disassembly and assembly of cylinders. All suspension cylinders filled to OEM specs with Neocon or 56 oil. Thorough inspection and documentation of all cylinders. Dry-mag particle testing for cracks and high component failure areas. Chrome thickness testing. Rods checked for straightness. Tube inner diameters honed to specific surface finish requirements using an automatic hone. Surface finish analyzing for both chrome and hone finish. Hone residue and dust removed using a high pressure tube wash. Hydraulic torque wrenches for precision torque adjustment even at high torque values. All precision measuring tools are checked daily using a manufacturer's "standard." All standards are calibrated annually -- traceable through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Sub-arc welding of Caterpillar and ALL other high-pressure cylinders. Inertia welding of all D10 and D11 tilt cylinder rods for maximum strength. Steel closures used to retain residual oil and keep contaminants out. Cylinders can be filled with oil upon request. Computerized testing of all rebuilt cylinders with printed results.

Quality Assurance
ISO 9001-2000 Certified rebuild center. Monthly quality reporting. Corrective and preventative action reporting on Workmanship.

Experience
We are currently rebuilding 6000 Cylinders per year. We have been rebuilding cylinders since 1967.
